I trained as an MBSR teacher with The Mindfulness Network, part of the Centre for Mindfulness Research & Practice at Bangor University. One of the leading teacher training institutions in the UK that follows the Good Practice Guidelines for teaching mindfulness-based courses as laid out by the UK Network for Mindfulness Teachers. I have been practising yoga for more than 20 years and completed both 2 years British Wheel of Yoga Accredited Teacher training and Relaxation, Meditation & Mindfulness Instructor Accredited Teacher Training in 2011. I went on to train as a Mindfulness based Integrated Yoga Therapist and trained in Mindfulness and Self compassion, Mindfulness & Neuroscience, Positive Psychology & Meditation.
I have taught Mindfulness since 2011 and teach MBSR courses and Mindfulness workshops in private and work settings. I have worked in the health and social care sector for 8 years and continue to attend teacher training workshops, meditation retreats and courses.
Mindfulness switched a light on in me that I had never experienced before. Life continues to have its joys and challenges, but something had changed and I love to share this practice with others.
